Dr Yvonne Davies, Founder
I have spent more than 20 years working in business development across fast-growing start-ups, academic centres and established multinational organisations, with more than 10 years in senior management roles, including CEO and CCO positions within technology start-ups.
My experience has focused on helping science and technology-led organisations move from technical potential to commercial opportunity. Over the course of my career, I have developed strong expertise in commercialisation strategy, raising growth capital, licensing intellectual property, knowledge transfer, contract negotiation and the identification and development of international strategic partners.
I have also worked across a broad range of sectors, including life sciences, physical sciences, the paper industry and thin film technologies. This has given me a practical understanding of the challenges involved in evaluating complex technologies, building commercial pathways and supporting strategic growth.
I founded Focused Frog Ltd to provide clear, independent support to universities, start-ups and investors working at the intersection of science, strategy and commercial decision-making. My approach combines commercial rigour, strategic insight and hands-on leadership experience to help clients assess opportunities, test assumptions and move forward with confidence.
